If short on time and/or want to maximize your time on Koh Tao, PADI’s e-Learning is a good option for you.
PADI e-Learning allows you to complete scuba diving theory online through the PADI website. So you can finish all scuba theory and quizzes prior to your holiday, and avoid classroom time on Koh Tao.
PADI eLearning is available for most of the popular PADI dive courses which we offer; PADI Open Water, PADI Advanced Open Water, PADI Rescue Diver and the Enriched Air (Nitrox) Specialty. Plus the online modules can be accessed in a number of languages.
You sign up for the scheme direct through the PADI website: https://apps.padi.com/scuba-diving/elearning/
When you register, make sure you choose Simple Life Divers Koh Tao as your affiliated dive school so that we can receive updates on your progress through the online modules. And if you do have any questions whilst working through the theory, please feel free to contact us. Our team of PADI Instructors are happy to help.
PADI do charge a registration fee for eLearning which you pay when you register.
However, the good news is that if you use e-Learning we can give you a 15% discount on your dive course here on Koh Tao.
Just to be clear, eLearning is a premium service and after factoring in PADI’s fee usually works out a bit more expensive than taking the full dive course on Koh Tao. It’s a good option if you are on a very tight schedule.
If time isn’t an issue, better would be to take the full dive course here on Koh Tao. We try to keep theory sessions short, interactive and entertaining, plus it gives the chance to build up a bit of rapport with your instructor prior to heading out on the dive boat.
