Assembling at Simple Life Bar this evening, well deserved cold beers accompany the end-of-course PADI Rescue Diver debriefing! 🙂
Candidates Corso, Joe, Vytas and Thomas have completed their PADI Emergency First Response and PADI Rescue Diver training. They’ve been put through their paces under the tuition of instructor Isabelle, assisted by DMTs Aaron and Tom. Over the past days they’ve learned expert level rescue skills; Gaining a deeper understanding of diving physiology, anticipating and preventing diver difficulties, tackling tired, panicked and even unconscious victims both at the surface and underwater, including coordinating underwater searches and egressing with an unconscious diver. And overall emergency management. Lots to take in.
The course culminated in the gang putting what they’ve learned into practice, responding to simulated diving emergencies. All four did a great job and we’re proud to sign them off as PADI Rescue Divers 🙂
Some of the gang are going through a dive internship here on Koh Tao so next need to rack up 40 dives experience before entering the PADI Divemaster program. More updates to follow.
