FAQs

What should I bring for the Try Dive?

To join the intro dive you just need swimwear to wear under the dive gear. We’ll provide everything you need for scuba diving.

Divemaster training

Do I need to be fit to scuba dive?

To try scuba diving you need to be in good normal health, with no existing health conditions which may be an issue for scuba diving. You don’t need to be a super-fit.

If you think you may have a medical condition which might be an issue for scuba diving, review PADI’s Medical Statement. This highlights conditions which are potentially unsuitable for scuba diving (such as epilepsy, diabetes or heart disease).

Do I need to be able to swim?

You don’t need to be able to swim to join the try dive. Though it’s best if you have basic confidence being in the water.

For continuing options after the intro session, you don’t need to be able to swim to join the beach dive or two coral dives. These are closely supervised dive experiences where your instructor takes care of everything for you.

However, if you want to make the PADI Open Water Course you need to be able to swim 200 meters (as slowly as you want) and stay afloat for 10 minutes.

Is the Try Dive available everyday?

Yes – the Try Dive is available everyday.

We meet at Simple Life Divers at 08:45 each morning, and are finished by 10 am.

And if you enjoy the intro dive and are keen to continue, we have beach dives, boat dives and the PADI Open Water course available everyday too.

What options are available for continuing & how long do they last?
